Cruise Down the Mighty Mississippi River
One of the most popular things to do in New Orleans is taking a cruise down the Mighty Mississippi River, one of the most unique ways to see the Big Easy. Hop aboard the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen and take a journey down the Mighty Mississippi while taking in 300 years of New Orleans history narrated by a local historian. Guests will enjoy a smooth sail downriver to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and the historic Chalmette Battlefield where you’ll be invited to disembark for a one-hour shore excursion with a guided tour by National Park Rangers – New Orleans’ only riverboat cruise that features a tour of the Battlefield.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- Hop-On at any of our 18 stops along the route to start your 48-Hour Hop-On Hop-Off Pass! Tours run daily from 9:30am – 5:30pm, unless notated otherwise. Last loop of the day starts at 4:00pm at any stop.
- Your ticket is valid 48 hours after your first redemption. If you Hop-On at 12pm on a Monday, your ticket is valid until 12pm on Wednesday.
- St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 is closed to public access and can only be entered with our licensed tour company. Hop-Off at Stop 5 (Basin St. Station Visitor Center) and check-in at the ticket desk at least 15 minutes prior to your selected tour time.
- The National WWII Museum is located at 945 Magazine Street – Stop #10 on the Hop-On Hop-Off Route.
- The museum is open from 9:00am – 5:00pm. It is recommended to reserve at least 3 hours of your day for this experience. Your ticket must be used on the date you select.
- This ticket includes the Beyond All Boundaries 4D Film, narrated by Tom Hanks. Beyond All Boundaries is shown hourly in Solomon Victory Theater from 10:00 am to 4:00pm. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your scheduled viewing time.
- The Paddlewheeler Creole Queen is located at 1 Poydras Street New Orleans, LA 70130, closest to Stop #7 & #18 on the Hop-On Hop-Off Route.
- Boarding begins at 1:30pm and the boat departs promptly at 2:00pm . Please arrive by 1:15pm to ensure you have plenty enough time!
- Cruise times may be altered or canceled due to weather and safety concerns. Cruise may remain dockside in the event of unfavorable sailing conditions.
